Successful evening: The “Long Night of Research”

The seventh “Lange Nacht der Forschung” (“Long Night of Research”) last Friday evening was a great success. Throughout Austria, about 180,000 people visited more than 250 locations. In Hagenberg 1,400 visitors were counted!

The research festival in Hagenberg with the motto “COUNT on everything!” was opened by JKU-Rector Univ.-Prof. Meinhard Lukas and LH. Deputy. Mag. Thomas Stelzer. They then personally tested the latest innovations straigth out of the Hagenberg Softwarepark – of course also at the exhibitor booth of ventopay.

Besides our colleagues working in development, sales and marketing, also the Managing Directors Dr. Josef Langer and Ing. Johannes Reichenberger introduced the ventopay POS system to visitors. For six hours, all questions regarding cash registers and cashless payment systems using secure smart cards or smartphone apps were answered.

Even the smallest researchers had their fun: Since ventopay was a station of the research quiz, the young guests could earn a stamp by answering a question. With enough right answers from different stations, the children could pick up a surprise gift.
