Gastronomy training with the ventopay system in real-life operation
The tourism schools MODUL offer a variety of gastronomy areas: from a break area with vending machines to a company kitchen and a dining area with a summer and winter garden, as well as a student café and a practice restaurant.
To meet these diverse requirements, a central and flexible solution comprising a ventopay cash register, payment, and ordering system was implemented throughout the entire training facility for the start of school in fall 2023.
Since the catering facilities are operated by and for students, the future of the catering industry has been trained in real-life operation using the ventopay system ever since.
Freeflow, pre-ordering, and table service in one platform
In modern hospitality, efficiency and user-friendliness are crucial, but flexibility is the key to success. To meet the high demands of hospitality professionals, extensive workshops were conducted to define optimal processes.
The result is innovative features that enable a high degree of flexibility in daily use. The integration of freeflow, pre-ordering, and table service into a comprehensive digital platform offers tourism schools MODUL the highest level of user-friendliness and maximum flexibility.
Seamless system integration of existing ID cards
The successful integration of existing student ID cards (Mifare Classic) and teacher tokens (Mifare DESfire) into the new overall system resulted in a smooth transition and a consistent user experience.
Students now benefit from an automatic, daily subsidy when paying with their ID cards.
Additional credit can be conveniently topped up via the mocca.loyalty app, at the mocca.cardloader top-up terminal, or using coins at one of the vending machines.
Optimized production planning thanks to pre-orders
The mocca® system offers students a convenient way to pre-order meals. Complete menus for the entire following week can be pre-ordered with just a few clicks.
This allows the kitchen to efficiently plan production and prepare meals. Food waste is minimized and the carbon footprint is significantly reduced.
High flexibility is maintained: Individual orders for the current day are still possible. This ensures that meals are optimally organized and perfectly tailored to the students’ needs.
Custom developments ensure optimized processes
Thanks to customized developments, ventopay offers a perfectly tailored digitalization solution that enables improved processes and greater clarity.
Students can take orders directly at the table and order the next course in real time, enabling precise and fast preparation.
The newly implemented receipt function at the serving terminal ensures easy marking of finished courses. This leads to more efficient processing and a smooth process. The comprehensive digital platform provides an optimal foundation for future innovations.
