Existing infrastructure integrated and innovative solutions implemented
It had to happen very quickly. The existing system, which students could use to top up their student ID card balance, was replaced within a few weeks. The modern solution not only integrated the existing card management system, but also offers maximum convenience for students. By integrating the current payment system of 40 cash registers including peripherals and the existing machines, the investment costs were significantly reduced and new, innovative solutions were established at the same time.
Minimal effort thanks to central administration and automated reporting
With the introduction of the web-based management software mocca.admin, the diverse menu plans from the existing merchandise management system are automatically adopted and articles and article data are managed centrally. Automated reporting without any manual effort, over 150 standard reports and individual extensions perfectly cover the high requirements of modern catering controlling at the Studierendenwerk.
Smart credit top-up for smart students
The credit can now be topped up conveniently and easily using the app linked to the student ID card. Students can choose between PayPal, Apple and Google Pay as well as credit cards.
Printed receipts are a thing of the past. In the interests of the environment, the e-receipt is shown as a QR code on the customer display. The desired traceability is also ensured.
All transactions made via the innovative system – including the integrated campus printers and laundromats – are automatically entered into the system and can be viewed in the app.
Modern production dashboard for kitchen monitors
Every day, the varied and flexible offering attracts up to 12,000 guests to the Studierendenwerk’s restaurants and cafés. The newly developed and clearly designed dashboards on the kitchen monitors in the central kitchen and the 15 other locations ensure efficient production.
The state-of-the-art screen design supports the kitchen team with a clear structure and optimal presentation of information. The production monitors are linked to the central administration platform mocca.admin and display the desired items and their number per restaurant.

Not only do the students enjoy the digital benefits, but the team is also enthusiastic about the successful implementation within the time and budget framework by ventopay. The central management system and the app linked to the student ID card also offer the perfect basis for future-oriented digital transformation.
