Digital apron supply as a new business field for LGTM
The apron supply ensures that currently around 25,000 potential users are reliably and punctually provided with high‑quality meals directly on the aircraft. LGTM excels with delivery reliability, the ability to accept short‑notice orders up to 60 minutes before departure, and full transparency in the delivery process through email or push notifications via the app, as well as automatic credits in the event of shift schedule changes or illness. The fully digitalized process enables drivers, for the first time, to manage themselves with the support of the LGTM apron app and the benefit of real‑time visibility.
All crew orders are consolidated centrally in the mocca® system from ventopay and are automatically grouped by flights. Through direct integration with flight information systems, current flight data is available in real time in the app or web application — including automatic cancellations for disrupted or cancelled flights.
The LGTM apron supply crew works with a central order overview, where all relevant information is clearly combined. The system is further enhanced by integrated route and navigation planning, providing drivers with optimal tours on the apron to the respective aircraft.
Implementation power from Softwarepark Hagenberg
The project was developed in close collaboration between two long-standing cooperation partners that have shaped Softwarepark Hagenberg for many years. As the general contractor, ventopay was responsible for everything from conceptual design to development and, together with the SCCH research center, implemented the technical solution for its long-standing customer LGTM.
The successful launch at Munich and Frankfurt airports impressively demonstrates what is possible when expertise, clear decisions, and consistent execution come together. The more than 10-year cooperation between these two Hagenberg pioneers underscores the ambition of the location: to realize highly innovative, high-performance systems at the cutting edge of technology in the shortest possible time.

In addition to significantly reducing the administrative workload of the LGTM team, the digital apron supply solution opens up new sales markets and revenue potential for the Lufthansa subsidiary.
