After many debates on the cash registers duty, the Council of Ministers is planning a relief for non-profit organisations and small businesses. ventopay informs about the future changes in advance.
According to the new decision of 21.06.2016, a simple solution is sufficient for companies that generate outdoor sales (“cold hand regulation”). This applies, however, only if the turnover generated outside the company does not exceed € 30,000.
A similar rule applies to alpine, mountain, ski and shelter huts: Here, the cash registers duty does not apply when the annual turnover is below € 30,000.
Small cafeterias can completely dispense with a registration fund as long as they generate no more than € 30,000 annual turnover.
A relief for non-profit organisations such as fire brigades was also sealed. The hour limit for club events without the obligation to cash registers duty was increased from 48 to 72 hours per year.
Furthermore, the obligation for technical safety devices will be postponed from 01.01.2017 to 01.04.2017. Affected companies will be given sufficient time for the changeover by the additional 3-month deadline.
However, the annual turnover limit for the cash registers duty, has remained unchanged at € 15,000.
