From October 5th to 6th, 2021, the Austria Trend Parkhotel Schönbrunn in Vienna was all about company catering. On these two days, the fourth specialist conference “Construction and operation of large kitchens and company catering” took place in Austria.
Numerous participants obtained information about the latest trends in company catering in the exciting lectures. In addition to the commercial kitchen 4.0, food trends and commercial kitchen planning, the main focus was on the possibilities for process optimization in the commercial kitchen using customized software and robots.
In the presentations by ventopay customer Eurest Austria, Stefan Wögerer (Regional Director) and Andreas Kabela (Business Development) also explained how ventopay’s systems helped to master the challenges of the pandemic and how the digitization of business models offered an opportunity beyond the crisis to use.
At the end of the first day of the conference, we visited the largest canteen in Europe in Quartier Sechs on the Business Austria Campus, which is also equipped with the mocca® cash register and payment system from ventopay. There was not only an insight into the individual restaurants and cafés, but also into the processes of the kitchen. In addition, the most popular dishes from the canteen were served to the participants, so that no culinary wishes were left unfulfilled.
